During the lead up to NBA Live 10 last year, I published a series of articles entitled 10 for 10 which examined the ten things in six different areas of the game that I felt NBA Live 10 needed to have to be successful. With the preview season for NBA Live 11 looming in the not too distant future, I thought I'd go back and take another look at the 10 for 10 lists to compare them with the finished (and subsequently patched) product and look ahead to what I feel should be done with NBA Live 11. |

Further NLSC Forum Upgrade |

Please be advised that I've just made a further upgrade to the NLSC Forum with an urgent security fix released yesterday by the phpBB Team. During this time, the Forum would have been unavailable for about five minutes but with the update in place the Forum is now back up and running as normal. My apologies for any inconvenience, we should now be right until the next phpBB release. |

Update on the PC Roster Patches |

I'm pleased to say that I'm close to having all the roster updates for NBA Live 2005 through NBA Live 08 finished and released. The NBA Live 08 and NBA Live 07 updates will definitely be out sometime tomorrow (that's Monday, March 1st) and hopefully I'll be able to release the updates for NBA Live 06 and NBA Live 2005 at the same time. In the event that they aren't quite ready, they will be released no later than the following day (Tuesday, March 2nd).
Once again, the updates for NBA Live 08 and NBA Live 07 will be out tomorrow regardless as they are basically ready to go; they will not be delayed if the updates for NBA Live 06 and NBA Live 2005 are held up. I would prefer to release all the updates at once so the aim is to get everything out tomorrow but if that isn't possible, I will release the updates that are ready tomorrow and the rest on Tuesday. Thanks again to everyone for your patience and understanding, unfortunately a few things have gotten in the way (including some commitments that are more important than mods for a basketball game) but the release is not very far away now. |

NLSC PC Roster Update Notes |

I was hoping to get a new version of the NLSC roster updates for NBA Live 2005 through 08 out this weekend but unfortunately I've hit a bit of a snag, so it will be a little bit longer before they're out. I do anticipate getting them out this week though and the good news is that the delay should allow me to include an updated 2010 All-Star court and double-check a few of the corrections and ratings suggestions that have been submitted so far. To that end, since I will have a bit of extra time to go over those things please feel free to send in any suggestions and corrections regarding ratings, player accessories, player bio data, players shooting with the wrong hand and anything like that as soon as possible and I'll try to get as much done as I can in time for v3.6. Just shoot me an email or post me a note in the Roster Patch Support section of the NLSC Forum. As always, constructive feedback is most welcome. |

NBA Live 10 predicts West victory |

We're less than half an hour away from the 59th NBA All-Star Game in Dallas, which is set to tip off on TNT after 8 PM ET. In preparation for the event, I've played a game of NBA Live 10 using the updated All-Star lineups from the latest Dynamic DNA rosters - also moving Dirk Nowitzki and Joe Johnson into the starting lineups for the West and East respectively - and the result was 123-118 victory for the West. The West received stellar performances from Kevin Durant (36 points, 4 rebounds, 7 assists, 2 blocks, 2 steals) and Steve Nash (30 points, 5 rebounds, 16 assists, 2 blocks), whom I would say were the co-MVPs of the game. Notes on upcoming NLSC Roster Updates |

Some quick notes about the upcoming NLSC roster updates for NBA Live 2005 through NBA Live 08: it certainly is my intention to get them out as soon as possible, however the situation with injuries and replacements on the All-Star squads has caused delays as I've had to go back and make changes when it appeared I'd finished updating those teams and the fact I'm maintaining four different updates simultaneously makes it a time consuming process.
I'll be doing my best to get the updates out before the All-Star Weekend but I'll actually be out of town most of this weekend and at this point I'm not sure if I will be able to get them done in time for the festivities. If I can't get them out before the All-Star Weekend I'll be aiming to get them out the following weekend, so that I can include the final All-Star rosters as well as all the trade deadline deals that go down.
Finally, I'm still on the lookout for a 2010 All-Star court patch for use with the rosters. If you're able to help me out in that regard, please let me know in this thread or contact me via email. |
